What If Every Day Was a Holiday?
Maybe every day is a holiday. And we are all missing out.
I wonder if every holiday in the human calendar right now was made to… make someone feel special.
But I also think every time someone feels special, someone feels like they are not.
Maybe stepmothers feel out of place on Mother’s Day.
Maybe adults long for their freedom on Children’s Day.
Maybe humans long for their true identity on Christmas Day.
So what if we lived in a culture where every day was a holiday?
A culture where no one is more special than the other.
Perhaps human culture is repeating itself because we should stop thinking like humans.
Maybe we are more than that.
Maybe we are life.
Just life, using these vessels to play pretend.
If we were to admit we are nothing but life
Would not every day be a holy day?
