Racism ― noun. the belief that all members of each race possess characteristics or abilities specific to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races.

The problem is the difference in responses. White guy waving a gun around, seen as such by the police when they arrive — talk the white guy down. Black guy reported having a gun, police arrive and see nothing but the black guy “makes a move” — shoot to kill.
