The jewel in this article is this paragraph:
Since the shooting death of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, sparked a national movement against police violence, it’s become largely understood that law enforcement suffers from implicit biases against certain demographic groups. A 2014 study in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology shows that, from a young age, African-American boys are regarded as older and less innocent than their white peers, while similar research from Social Psychological and Personality Science suggests white people attribute superhuman (and uniquely dangerous) traits to blacks. Simulations conducted with current enforcement officers show that police tend to fire upon African-American suspects far more quickly than white ones. And no, African Americans aren’t gunned down because they’re more likely to commit crime, according to a 2015 PLoS One analysis, which found that “there is no relationship between county-level racial bias in police shootings and crime rates.”
It’s ironic that the Black Lives Matter movement grew out of the fraudulent beginning that dubbed itself “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot.” After Darren Wilson, then a police officer in Ferguson, Missouri, shot Michael Brown in self-defense, several blacks began to circulate inflammatory lies that portrayed Michael Brown as a placid and innocent victim of police brutality. In fact, however, Brown had already attacked the officer once, trying to wrest away the officer’s gun. When he was shot, Brown was charging to attack the officer, once again.

In other words, BLM has its origin in deceit, in falsehood. There was enough forensic and physical evidence at the scene of the shooting in Ferguson that a grand jury, convened to decide whether to send Wilson to trial, saw no reason to do any such thing.

Now about the comparative characters of blacks and whites…

From an early age, blacks are more aggressive and violent than are whites. The difference widens to a maximum at about age 25, and then it declines; however, at no age are blacks generally as peaceful as are whites of the same age.

The most violent group in the United States (and, probably, anywhere in the world) are black males between the ages of 16 and 35. This group forms a paltry 3% of the US population, but it is responsible for almost half of the murders that occur in the United States each year. From that 3% comes ~50% of the nation’s unlawful homicides. There’s a corollary. If America could get rid of that 3% of its population, then it would halve its murder rate.

It would also sharply reduce the frequency of rape, theft, arson, and rioting.

Black boys are regarded as less innocent; yes, that is certainly true. But the perception is an accurate one.

I’m unfamiliar with your “simulations,” but a recently published study by a (black) Harvard professor, Roland G. Fryer Jr., under the title “An Empirical Analysis of Racial Differences in Police Use of Force,” indicates that the police are LESS (not more) likely to shoot black suspects than white suspects. That’s on a per-suspect basis, of course. The police do shoot more blacks than whites, but that’s because blacks commit more crimes than whites do, therefore they become crime suspects more often than whites do, and attempts to assign to the police any blame for that are both dishonest and stupid.
