I am of the opinion that addictions can only be replaced unless the underlying issue is addressed. ie. When someone quits smoking but starts eating candy in its stead. What is your view on this? Did you replace drinking with something else?
I always ran away, made some sort of major life decision, or started a new project. I see now that they were all temporary. I most recently found myself in a position I didn’t want to run away from and so I got help. Something I didn't want to admit I needed. I got lucky. The meds are perfect and have changed my life.
