The Human Parts Open Thread: Apologize to Yourself
Human Parts

I’m Sorry [But, they still may have been after you].

I’m sorry that I was so afraid of your (my) shadow that I shut you (me) inside that apartment. Days melted into one another, subsisting on cheese, peanut butter and cigarettes. I held you back from reaching your full potential by convincing you that strangers sought to do us harm. You’ve turned out alright, despite my paranoia.

Let’s make an effort to raise more courageous children. Lest they find themselves imprisoned by their genetic inheritance.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
