If pesticides are sprayed at school, are parents notified in advance so they can keep their kids home? Be sure to demand that your school notify you.

Here is a sample letter:

Dear [school administrator]:

Please notify me at least forty-eight hours in advance whenever pesticides of any kind are sprayed on the school campus including its athletic fields. Pesticides at any level are dangerous to children’s health. I will keep my child home on these days for at least twenty-four to forty-eight hours after the applications. Please be sure that all required work is also supplied to us so that we can keep up with our educational mission. You may notify me via email, US mail, and phone [provide your information].

Thank you.
