The show does not intend to feed the orthodox pseudo-feminist dialogue that this site & others peddle in. On the contrary it offers a direct, but nuanced counter to it. The show portrays people the way they actually are— in different parts good, bad, strong, weak — not how online bloggers think they ought to be. The fact that millenials whose profession all but mandates a dogmatic view on relationships and life in general are bothered by the events occuring onscreen should be worn by the writers as a badge of honor. It’s the most hard-hitting, real show currently on television
