Broadly speaking, humanity has reconciled the irreconcilable. On the one hand, it is acknowledged that we live in a ‘Rape Culture’, but on the other we cling to the belief that misogyny is rare. But misogyny is a necessary precursor of ‘Rape Culture’, and for that to be accorded the name ‘culture’ it must be common, so therefore so must be misogyny. The human capacity to live in a state of delusion is truly staggering.
