The key component here is ‘sexual assault’. Perhaps Billy Boy didn’t realise he was listening to a man boasting of having committed a crime repeatedly, or didn’t he think it mattered? If the latter, doesn’t make him guilty of being an accomplice after the fact, in that he was aware of a crime but failed to report it?
