Tragically, yes. Older and wiser, it is said. Maybe. But different, always more cautious, less trusting than you might have been. I’m so incredibly sorry for what we did, and it cannot be undone. I imagine you are tempted to tell other women ‘be cautious, be wary, do this, don’t do that, etc’. I can’t think of any reason you shouldn’t but that’s incredibly sad, that you have to be the destroyer of innocence and spontaneity. To be quite frank, I find I relay the same messages, second hand. I will pass your story to other women as a warning. I wish I didn’t have to.
