NO MORE LIKES!

Nobody cares, How many Likes you have. Nobody actually cares if you have 5000 or 100.000 likes. Do you know what you should care about? In how far your audience is committed and engaged.

  1. How many comments do they leave; what do they ask you? What are they interested in? Is your audience impressed by your content or not, leaving a tribute?

2) How many times do they share your content? Which kind of content do they share?

I´m a marketer and a proud part of Generation Y, I have witnessed myself the birth and rise of Facebook,Twitter ,Instagram, Linkin, Pinterest, Tumblr, Snapchat and many others. I´m pretty much sick about it, when friends tell me: “Bru, they (company X) have 45.000 likes on facebook and 20.000 followers on insta”. Well, respect for spending a lots of money in adverts to achieve this number and throwing away a few thousand dollars or Euros. I don´t give a sh***t about the amount of likes or followers.

At the end of the day you want to SELL YOUR PRODUCT OR SERVICE.

So it is important to create high valuable content for your audience. You should care about what your audience wants to hear about. Focus on less but better content. Example, imagine you are a food blogger, you have 5000 purchased fans and you post a link where you can download a recipe for 0,99$ on your website, most probably you will get zero engagement, follows those follower have 0 value. 8000$/€ spent in fans for nothing — ROI wont be very happy. Imagine now, you have just 1000 followers, who consume and appreciate your content, you post about the same recipe and 600 persons purchase the recipe, because of your post, you will earn roughly 600$/€. Be authentic, use a unique style of wrtiting, implement a recognizable design, brand your content with quality!!!

It is up to you? Start creating high valuable content for your audience, qualitative content and get a higher conversion or keep spending money, funds and stay at the bottom. Social media is a powerful tool, but it is important to know how to use it.
