“Self-care” has been the buzzword in wellness circles these days. It often conjures up images of meditation, massages and mindfulness. But self-care doesn’t have to be complicated or overly ritualized. And it shouldn’t become another item on your to-do list that you dread to accomplish.

Self-care is about taking your own steps to promote physical, mental and spiritual well-being. And it can look very different from person to person. For some it may be committing that half hour every morning to a yoga session. For others, it may be as simple as writing down one thing they are thankful for each night.
