Celebrating our team’s achievements with four new promotions
At the start of an exciting new year, we are delighted to announce four very well-deserved promotions within the Dawn Team.
Our team is our greatest achievement. Ever since Dawn was founded in 2007, we have looked to build the most capable and passionate team for capitalising on the B2B software opportunity in Europe — and we couldn’t be more proud of the people working alongside us today. Our team is the lifeblood of Dawn and makes what we do possible every day, from finding exceptional founders to running the many processes and activities involved in supporting our companies. Our entire Partnership has been promoted from within, and we continually look to champion and recognise every team member’s valuable contributions and achievements.
Last year our fintech and payments expert, Dan Chaplin, and Hannah Gubbins, our Head of Investor Relations and Marketing, were both made Partners, while Avalon Lee-Bacon was promoted to Director of Talent, and Francesca Chance to our Operations Manager. Today, we are thrilled to announce that:
Daniela Raffel Torrebiarte has been promoted to Principal
Daniela started out at McKinsey and joined us in 2020 from London-based fintech Capital on Tap. Daniela is a rising star who was named on the latest Forbes list of 30 under 30 talents to watch in finance, and she has been instrumental in helping shape our investments and work with companies including FlowX.AI, BRYTER, Quantilope and Copper.
Nils Howland has been promoted to Vice President
When Nils joined us from on-demand delivery startup Zapp in 2022, he brought a wealth of understanding of scaling fast-growing companies and rolling out software products. He has since been pivotal in our investments into companies across several spaces, including LeanIX, Harbr, Firebolt and Brite Payments.
Adina Goga has been promoted to Director of Legal
Adina is a true cornerstone of our team here at Dawn. Adina joined us from Linklaters, and for the past two years, she has used her wealth of experience in cross-border M&A transactions, venture capital transactions, joint ventures and corporate governance, to power our funds and deliver for our companies.
Gamila Hassan has been promoted to Talent Acquisition Lead
Gamila joined us in 2022 from fintech Revolut and has become an essential part of Dawn’s talent team. Gamila leads on all internal hiring, and supports our talent platform in connecting our exceptional portfolio with highly-skilled executives.
