And Then …

He screamed her name with all his might while she turned away and left. But she kept walking with the same swift pace. Suddenly, she stopped!
 “what is he thinking? what the hell am i supposed to do? why is he trying to reach out after a whole year ? do i sound that easy as a person when i responded to his first call?” 
While her mind was in complete chaos, he approached! She didn’t even hear his footsteps as they got closer. “I don’t think you realize how deeply ruined you’ve left me, a year ago.” No answer whatsoever was uttered.
 “Ive met hundreds of girls but none were like you. None! I know it’s been a year but i felt like reaching out to you again. Maybe i lied about the reason because i’ve been thinking about you for so long. Yes , i’ve been a coward for not reaching out any sooner. I didn’t have the courage to do it ,forgive me. You’ve avoided any contact in every possible way. I know, it is my fault for not trying hard enought to reach your forgivenss and have you again in my life.” She resumed walking again with an unsteady pace , as if no one was talking, as i she just stopped to gather some thoughts and procceed walking again. He said :“You think i’m going to leave you ? you think i’m going to lose you ? Please , would you just look at me ? Please , stop and look me in the eyes! Talk to me ! I only came back to ask you something…”

She seized walking. Looked at the tree standing tall infront of her she said to herself “ oh ,i can no longer bear this anymore. It’s all my fault for opening the door again.I shouldn’t have left a chance to be treated the same playfull way.. I shall close this matter once and for all ”
She , then gathered her courage and what was left of her dignity and turned to face him. He said :“I came to make things right ! I came to seek forgivenesss . I came to mend the wounds i’ve caused. And i came to ask for something you’ve wanted in the first place but i was still not ready to achieve” Still looking to the ground , she said :” what is it ,then?” she asked.
He said:“I came to ask your hand .Would you marry me ?” 
Surprised , she couldn’t hide the expression that laid on her face. Few seconds managed to make her return to normal. “I don’t think i can do it , anymore! I don’t think i have the power to love anyone. I’ve been called a cold person and only few are willing to remain in my life. Any girl, would have dreamt to switch my place but i don’t think i can fulfill what is asked. I don’t think i can be a lover , let alone a wife, i’m sorry .” And she left !
