I’ve seen this happen countless times with my generation, especially on college campuses. One of the most common arguments given to feminists who are just trying to create a safer world for everyone is that they don’t have it as bad as other women, so they shouldn’t complain. One of the toughest parts of spreading awareness is dealing with the dismissal, which is really just oppressive in itself.
