LinkedIn is a great social media platform for business. It is not the place for memes, hookups, political or religious rants, or kid and vacation pictures — unless you do these things for a living. If you are in business and you work with other humans, you need a professional presence on LinkedIn. If you don’t have one, start one now. If you do have one, take a look at all you have posted the last few weeks. Does it support your personal brand? Remember my golden rule: Never post about religion, politics, or cats — you will alienate half your fans.
