The Password Dance: Your Daily Success Tip
Create a calendar entry to change passwords on a regular basis
Yahoo has announced a massive breach of users passwords and security questions. According to an expert on CBSN this morning, if you receive an email from Yahoo to enter your new password, don’t. The email is a ploy by the bad guys to get your new password. A new password should only be done within your Yahoo account. Haven’t used that Yahoo account in years (like me), you still must make the changes. ALL your personal information is at risk.
As painful as it may seem (and oh it is…), get in the habit of changing your passwords on a regular basis. Put a to-do note on your calendar. Use a service like 1Password that will create secure passwords for you as needed. And, if you are using 123456, stop. Now. See the worst passwords you can use here.
