I’m still going strong with #100DaysofCode on Twitter! I’m currently in the 60s, which I’m really excited about. The community plays such a huge role in keeping me motivated and inspired to complete the challenge. I’ve also started making a point to provide resources that have helped me, when I see someone posting about a coding struggle they’re facing.
This month I finally took the plunge and started uploading my projects to GitHub. Honestly, I wish I would have started a lot sooner, but late is better than never. During the month, I reached over 100 commits. Again, super excited about that.
I still have a lot of improvements to make to my GitHub, but you’ve got to start somewhere.
I FINALLY have a live portfolio site! I’m making changes to it pretty much everyday, but it feels good to know that it’s searchable. Like my GitHub account, this was something that I had been putting off for a while.
Another project I’m reasonably proud of is my Magic 8 Ball. I need to do some work on the styling, but it works which is the most important thing.
I’m really excited and equally nervous to begin working with a mentor starting next week. I say I’m nervous because I’m sure the self-doubt is really going to start kicking in. I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished as a whole, but I want to take my skillset to the next level, so that I’ll be more successful in the job hunt.
Finally, I’ll be attending the Refactr tech conference next week so I’m looking forward to learning a lot and connecting with really awesome people! I’m attending a workshop put on by Vue Vixens so I’ll be getting my first taste of a JS framework. 😬Wish me luck!
