Prob’ly just a subdural hematoma, but “craniotomy” means you cut open the skull. It could have been a subarachnoid hemorrhage, but that’s not quite a tupical location for one, and you can’t just “remove the clot”. Anyway, it just bled in an area that does formal thought, not a speech-associated area, so he’ll still be able to talk. He might sound about the same without his whole left frontal lobe.
