Shark Vs Bear? What is that supposed to be? Some mid tier wannabe whales will help us fight against the bear market so that they can be influencer and after few months when the bull market is back they shill us with some NFT projects that they will try to sell us and we’ll eventually buy since they came out to help us like Mercy when we had no hope during the bear market? NOPE!
Well let me first tell you about Nouns.
Nouns is a 32x32 pixel generative project based on things like…. well literally things and animals. For example a beer, horse, basketball, cheese and even a blackhole. Maybe because every other “ NFT Enthusiast/Expert/Entrepreneur “ was done with every single animal pfp on the blockchain, the creators of nouns decided to go with things as well.
The concept behind nouns itself is a unique one, unlike 10K, 8888, 5555 and so on. A unique noun is generated and up for auction everyday and will be up everyday 24x7 365 days, forever. At the end of every auction , the highest bidder gets the nouns NFT and ETH is automatically sent to the Nouns DAO Treasury. This auction settlement does one more thing, generate the next Nouns NFT and starts the next auction which again ticks off for the next 24 hours. Talk about how smart dem smart contracts really are right?
Shark DAO
Shark DAO is a group of people who aim to pool together funds and acquire more nouns from the auction, as a collective. Through this collective effort they have collected 6 nouns together and have raised more than 1000 ETH for the same goal.
They aim to evolve the web3 ecosystem with the community itself and grow around Nouns DAO by partnering with artist, devs and other DAOs and sub DAOs to create an entirely new sense of belongingness on the blockchain.

Creator Contest is an experiment towards a system that rewards community creatives with rewards such as $shark tokens, ETH and so on. Submission can be an image or even a written prompt. So far they have organized 2 contest over the past 2 weeks. These weekly contest have topics around the Nouns where submission period takes place during weekdays and voting period over the weekend. These contest will soon increase collaborations, creativity and onboard more artist and builders in Shark DAO.
