For a show that seems to work hard at getting the details right, I was very disappointed with this week’s episode. The courtroom scenes had very little resemblance to a typical criminal trial. The testimony about Naz’s drug dealing and his high school violence would never, EVER come in during a trial like this. That’s the kind of low-hanging accuracy that even Law and Order gets right. I know this isn’t a courtroom drama and I don’t expect it to be, but I was surprised by the nonchalance of the writing here.
