RE: REQUEST FOR SPONSORSHIP

My name is Seymoure Farrer and I’m writing to you on behalf of the BUB’s basketball team.

We are seeking financial sponsorship for our teams travel, accommodation, meals and other expenses to compete at the James Kelly Basketball Tournament in Carnarvon on the 15th – 17th of April.

BUB’s stands for Boyd’s Uncle’s & Brother’s; we started this team in 2011 in memory of our late brother who was passionate about basketball and who sadly ended his life committing suicide in 2009. He was only 16 years old. This team is made up of family members in recognition for the love of basketball that Boyd had and to promote awareness on suicide prevention.

BUB’s is a locally recognised team from the small town of Halls Creek, WA. We have competed in multiple basketball tournaments around the Kimberley and won many of the competitions. Unfortunately we have been unable to compete in a number of competitions due to the lack of financial support we have received.

This year with your help we hope to travel to Carnarvon and compete in the James Kelly Basketball Tournament which is being held 2070km away from Halls Creek.

If you choose to sponsor the BUB’s Basketball Team we will display your logo on our team uniforms and team Facebook page, we would also thank you as a major sponsor at this and future carnivals. Your contributions would go towards travel cost to and from Carnarvon, accommodation for the team in Carnarvon and the fees involved in registering.
