There Is a War Going On Outside…

I always thought Prodigy was an underrated MC. He came up in an era where metaphors, similes and slick punchlines reign supreme. For me, it was his complex yet simple formation of lines that made me a big fan.

As if channeling Hemingway, he delivered with lines like…

“There is a war going on outside, no man is safe from. You can run but you cant hide forever”…

What is also incredible is that, a lot of times Prodigy wasnt even rhyming! He was just straight hitting you with street themed free verse poems…and you LOVED it!

RIP Prodigy
