sick.

“It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.” — Krishnamurti

If everyone else believes something, does that make it right? What’s the real definition of crazy? Is it people who are objectively mentally broken, or people who don’t do what everyone else is doing? People who see things so differently from the average person that we don’t know what to do with them. Is crazy just a numbers game then? If everyone believes it and you don’t, then you become crazy?

Society wants to put you in a little box, and if you break out of the mold of what you’re supposed to be, you get judged and shamed back into your box. You’re considered ‘sick’. Something’s wrong with you. How dare you question the thought of the majority?

What a society we live in, where the people who are bold enough to push things forward are destined to be rejected and looked down upon. And the people who follow society’s groupthink unquestioningly are rewarded.

When you really begin to think outside the box, then either something’s wrong with you, or something’s wrong with everyone else. And everyone else would much prefer the former.
