DCC Around the World — London Fintech Week, 1st Live Stream Session and Trading Competition on KuCoin
DCC at London Fintech Week
This week Team DCC participated in the 2018 London Fintech Week with finance and tech experts from around the world. On July 11, our founder & CEO’ Stewie Zhu delivered a keynote speech on distributed financial ecosystems and how that relates to the 2008 financial crisis. In the panel discussion, which also included experts from Oracle, Instasupply and Royal Bank of Scotland, Stewie discussed the application of blockchain in the financial industry. He also provided his opinions on how enterprises could leverage this technology in infrastructure construction and data security.
DCC’s 1st Live Stream
On July 10, Stewie had his first live stream with the Chinese community. Over 1.5 million viewers joined this one-hour session, where Stewie shared one of his most important investing strategies — buy cheap. To add a bit of a twist, he compared investing to playing Texas Hold’em poker leaving listeners with this pithy sound bite: “We play the game tight and solid. This is the DCC way.”

DCC Supports Disaster-struck Town in Vietnam
Recently, heavy rains have caused severe landslides in Vietnam. Over the weekend, DCC’s Vietnam team traveled to the town of Tam Đường, Lai Châu Province, and provided disaster relief supplies to the local community. DCC donated 130 million VND to 51 households to assist in buying food and seeds. We wish Tam Đường a quick recovery from this disaster!

The World Cup events in our global community have seen a major hike in activity. Users cheered for their favorite teams, took quizzes, and got great rewards as they expressed tremendous passion for their respective teams. Stewie’s visit to London has been trending in the DCC community since the first day of London Fintech Week. Tech Developments
- The latest update of the DCC main chain has improved the stability of the ledger nodes and the efficiency of consensus. With the upgraded codes in the FSSI, the main chain now has four nodes up and running.
- Loan contracts now have more weight in the DCC Eco Rewards system.
- In the latest update of BitExpress, users can manage their wallet address, and cancel or make changes to ongoing transactions.
- We’re connecting DCC’s database with data service providers in Indonesia.
- The development team is finalizing the mobile phone purchase platform.
