Training For A Fall Half Marathon:
I’d like to welcome you to a section where I’ll be talking about training for an upcoming half marathon. Before I go further, I’d like to tell you a little about myself.
I graduated college a few years ago where I ran for SUNY Brockport’s XC team. I never made a track team, so I always trained alone during the spring. After graduating, I continued to train, and take aim at mostly 5ks, with the occasional off distance race.
I’ve run one half marathon before, the Oak Tree Race held in Geneseo, NY. I hadn’t trained specifically for that race, but really enjoyed the distance. I now look to bettering my PR in the upcoming Rochester Half Marathon this coming September.
I’ll be updating this section with training updates, and maybe some non-training posts as well. I’m a fan of the sport, and love to follow Pro runners and their races. Feel free to leave any comments on topics you’d like me to touch on as we go along.
In the meantime, you can check out the training I’ve been doing at 2 different locations.
Thank you for reading!
