I Strongly Disagree
David J Pfeiffer

First of all, the author wasn’t complaining about “struggling” at his first job. He was stating how HBO was even willing to send him to remedial school, and he was able to keep the job anyways — showing how college, at least for him, proved to be useless when the skills required for the job could have just be learnt at a much, much less steep cost.

Furthermore, the author DOES admit that it is necessary to go to college for certain resources, but only after you truly understand what you want to do in life… and perhaps the current funnel of high school >> college isn’t doing that, as many people go to college *to find out what they want to do* (and that is problematic in the author’s opinion).

Just my two cents.
