R9 AC Milan part 17

Its the fixture I’ve been waiting for all season.

The “Derby della Madonnina”.

also known as the Derby di Milano (Milan Derby, in English)

Feeling the pressure going in with a few injuries.

Three of my four defenders and seedorf is a massive blow.

But forget them, this is about Ronaldo and he is fit to play as I piece together a team for the derby.

Result

Ronaldo with a brace after Inter went down to 10 men. But they over powered AC Milan and won the game.

Absolutely shocking.

I’m not even going to comment on their individual stats.

Match stats says it all.

I clearly should have done better.

Good team Inter have built over the years.

Takes a knock in the table too.

Still hurting by the defeat we are now heading to Holland in the champions league.

I need a win for a team boost, but mainly for R9.

Get a goal, he gets confidence.

Thats what I’m telling myself.

But as you can see I am still struggling with injuries and I haven’t registered my new signings yet or zambrotta for some reason.

With seedorf and zambrotta out I face a dilemma.

I have nobody to cover the right side of midfield.

Ronaldinho pace and acceleration is poor compared to R9 and R9 is a forward, not a striker.

I take a gamble and play him in midfield. Hoping the forward arrow might come in handy.

First half

Looking promising as we take the lead.

R9 holding up in midfield as he completes more passes then anyone else.

You could say R9 impressed not only in the second half, but in the role itself?

Next league game.

Ronaldo gets his goal — finally as he’s playing this game back in his usual position.

But parma take all 3 pts in front of their home fans.

Plenty of shots on for R9 is a positive.

With the transfer window open, news comes in about one target I’m keeping tabs on.

But never mind who I’m looking at potentially.

Let have a look at the two signings I have brought to the club.

And first up the DMC I’ve been on the hunt for.

Second signing.

Not sure how he fits in, but I’ll give him a few games and see what he has to offer.

I’m taking another gamble and putting both new signings into the starting 11.

desailly will move into DC role.

Followed by ronaldo goal, assisted by Mark Van Bommel.

Great debut for both signings, but not happy with the come back from the opposition.

R9 gets sent off and another player too.

Should have been 3pts in the bag.

I jump forward to R9 return from Suspension.

Comes into the squad and handed the captain’s armband, and has a decent game.

All is forgiven with this performance.

Ive dropped points in the league in this run.

So I’m calling it a night before I drop any more.

Still a few games to go before the season ends. But I could do with R9 stepping it up on the the goal front.
