Aside from what Caitlin is recommending, keep your brain flexible. Do some arithmetic drills, paper or mental. Some memory exercises, that involve visualization, e.g. memorizing a deck of cards. Meditation, visualization, solitary periods of pure thought.
And read up (or watch on Youtube) on Daniel Kahneman’s research, about our own cognitive flaws. Be on the lookout for technologies that compensate for our limitations, that might assist us in drawing conclusions and admitting that we don’t know things.
Propagandists aren’t counting on a relaxed and thoughtful population.
