First you cut taxes, particularly for corporations. Then, with the decline of revenue, you cut programs. Who wins with this arrangement? The rich, of course. But also the successful predators released by the lifting of regulations who can now pollute, cheat, neglect, and otherwise poorly serve the public good with less accountability than there’s been for decades.
