  • What?: Both professors survived a deadly plane crash

  • Why?: Both professors were coming back from a conference in NYC
  • How?: The plane crashed on takeoff

Lead: Two Backwater State University professors, remain injury free after a deadly plane crash that took the lives of five passengers at the Kennedy International Airport.

Lead: On Sunday in the William Oxley Thomson Memorial Library, Ohio State students were granted the opportunity to hear from Pulitzer Prize winner, Norman Meeman, regarding the topic of how to be a great writer.

Professor Wins Award

  • Who?: Clement Crabtree, a professor of horiculture
  • What?: Crabtree recieved a George Washington Honor medal for his essay called “Plan for Peace.”

  • Why?: He wrote an essay about urging distribution of free packets of red, white and blue flower seeds in foreign nations
  • How?: His writing was medal worthy

Lead: Among the 32 winners of the annual George Washington Honor ceremony hosted by The Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge, was horticulture professor, Clement Crabree, for his essay titled, “Plan for Peace.”
