By the way, I’ve also got some names from some great Mexican musicians from the old man, the father of the family I’m staying with here. I just happened to hear some music, early on today, playing somewhere in this huge apartment and I could not help but go check it out. It was the old man, listening to this wonderful, almost orchestral music. So I turned on my Spanish and started a conversation… His hearing is not too good, so it was more of a hand-talk in the end, but I’ve got the ball over the net, apparently, and got the names! Yeah, and here they are, if you’re interested:

  • Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlan
  • Mariachi Nueva Tecalitlan

PS: Try “Sabes una cosa”, or “La cigarra”, “Cielito lindo”, any really! What a wonderful, rich music.

The other day I went to this Guadalajara’s ECC session led by an EFL teacher from Bulgaria — such a nice person. The students were very friendly as well and we’ve spent some wonderful time together. There was like this older, serious-looking guy, but with such a wonderful sense of humor — always a winning combination! …


What a difference a day made…

Life is such, isn’t it? The mood, the weather, the friendships, everything I can think of really. This natural dance — we feel good and then not that good anymore, and after a while quite well again! Like a sine curve, I always like to imagine, that swings up and down, and up and down, and all it really takes sometimes is just wait for those “24 little hours” and it’ll pass, right? …
