White women coming to my city for the Women’s March: This is what I want you to know

Some (note that I said ‘some’) young black women are making some really big mistakes in their lecturing of liberals (especially white ones) — and in doing so, diminish what everyone else is trying to do. They diminish everyone’s (EVERYONE’S) fear and are trying to appropriate a much bigger movement that is for the benefit of EVERYONE. Time for these young women to stop, take a personal inventory, and ask themselves — do I really know what’s in the minds, hearts and experience of others? Is my behavior working towards unity and a solution, or is it just plain alienating people who’ve already been protesting on your behalf for decades? Stop the lecturing — Unify!
