We’re launching on 12 April

The Dead Architects Society is an NFT project that has been taking shape since the start of January this year. We’ve been researching 1,000 architects to include in our first collection, and creating the images and attributes of these architects for the NFTs.

We’re now ready to announce the first drop of 100 NFTs will be on 12 April 2022. They will be available for sale on https://deadarchitects.xyz for 0.01 ETH each (worth approx $26 at today’s ETH price).

Purchasing an NFT gives a lifetime membership to the Dead Architects Society, and NFT holders will receive exclusive access to a members area and future rewards. NFTs will be tradeable on OpenSea once launched.

The collection will include great architects from history who died before the year 2000. The first 100 architects will be revealed as soon as the first drop sells out, which we expect to happen quickly upon launch.

We’re not going to give away which architects exactly will be in the first 100, but we can say that the collection as a whole will include the best known architects from history, including Frank Lloyd Wright, Mies van der Rohe, Le Corbusier, Lina Bo Bardi, Elizabeth Wilbraham (considered to be the first female architect in history), Robert Robinson Taylor (first African American architect accredited in the US) and other renowned architects from around the world.

The purpose of the collection is to celebrate the achievements of these architects and create a community of people who care about the built environment. The idea is to be both an appreciation society, and to raise the profile of architecture in the metaverse.
