Thanks Colin! I completely agree 🙂. For me it’s all about focus; it’s hard to be focussed on all the actual important stuff if I’m trying to evaluate fifteen different solutions to a problem I don’t even have yet.

If you’re like me and come from purely technical roles, the temptation is to stay in research mode and nail the architecture before just getting started, but as you said, the best work comes from revisiting a known problem, not a priori reasoning.
