Now beyond the gushing: I have been thinking for some months now that the future of internet “news” is going to be built around individuals and small groups we trust because they built their reputation on trust not clickbait.

Large corporate entities are very hard for people to trust, I note. Pao and others in the Corporate Executive class (and they are a class, you know; most of us would never be allowed in) would do well to remember this.

In the early 21st Century, the most important commodity on the internet is likely to be personal trust.
