Thanks again Felipe, I appreciate the guidance you’ve provided. I’ll check out ffmpeg and the additional libraries you’ve mentioned.

The mosaic effect/filter is still too slow for real time at this point without a considerable effort for optimization (which I’m still wrestling with). If the mosaic effect looks good from the initial stitching of frames from ffmpeg, then I definitely think it’s worth the effort to go down the path of OpenCV.
