Life Is About Drawing Lines.

What is acceptable and what isn’t? What is necessary and what isn’t? What is right and what isn’t? Anywhere there are shades of gray a person has to draw lines, and there are very few truly black and white areas in life, if any, because there is an “if” or “when” possible in just about everything.

Next time you are arguing with someone take a step back and think about what is really going on. Are you actually on opposite sides or is it only about where each of you has drawn a line? Then you can really focus on the real issue — how far apart your lines are and how or if you can find a way to move those lines closer together.

Sadly, for most people this will probably wind up in the “Best Advice Not Taken” category.
