Transgender Folks, Like The Rest Of Us, Are Being Played

First of all, don’t let the media get it twisted. This technically isn’t a ‘ban’ as it is a stay. A law was about to go into effect to allow transgender people into the military, but Trump is trying to keep it at bay, and has publicly said he would ban transgender people again if it did go through. Facts are important here because we have a lot more power than we think we do over this. Telling folks it’s a straight up ban will create a sense of helplessness we cannot afford to have, which was doubtlessly the goal here.

That being said;

While it warms my heart to suddenly see so many people come out in support of transgender and gender non-conforming individuals being able to fight for corporate oil interests, understand what it is that’s happening here. Trump is unabashedly undoing all the progress Obama has made. The bill allowing transgender folks into the military was an Obama policy. Bannon, the snake hissing into Trump’s little orange ear is a warmonger and a bigot. Do any sort of digging on this rabid animal and you’ll see how enamored by war he truly is. So why would he encourage his puppet to announce trans people are no longer allowed to join the military? Besides the fact that it makes for a great distraction from the whole uncomfortable Russia thing, think about this. Push your feelings aside. Try to reach the critical thinking portion of your brain, then ask yourself two very important questions.

  1. Were trans people volunteering in droves to join the military before?
  2. What’s the most effective way to get people to want to do something?

Do you see where I’m going with this??

Are the puzzle pieces starting to fall into place for you? This move tells me that Bannon is salivating over the war he’s planning to start, either with Iran or North Korea, and he will need more soldiers. He also knows that trans people and their loved ones often fall into anti-war leftist circles. What better way to get them excited about going to war than to make them want what they’re being intentionally denied? So many people fall for tactic, because it’s brilliant, and it works.

If you don’t believe me, give it a little while. You think we’re in perpetual war now? You just wait. The real question is, will you play nicely into their hands?
