DeathRoad Real-Time Racing Tournament #1 Is Officially Ready To Go!

Ready up your engines, racers, as the DeathRoud team with loads of joy, adrenaline and excitement finally reveals the details regarding our first Real-time Racing Tournament!

This is a glorious chance to put your well honed driving skills to the test and give you a golden opportunity to win amazing prizes in front of the whole wide world!

Below you will find everything you need to understand how you can take part, how the tournament is structured, how the voting system will work and what prizes you can win.

Introducing the Real-Time Racing Tournament

1. How to join:

To be eligible to enter you have to fill in this Registration Form before Jan 17th and end up in Top 20 on any of the Weekly Leaderboards (week of 10th Jan to 16th Jan) with the highest reward in one turn. If you win you will have to download a new Racing Tournament Version with a premade set of NFTs. This means that all participating racers will be able to participate on totally equal terms.

Note that the wallet entered in the form has to be the one connected to the account, in case you have a scholar who wants to join in.

1. Tournament structure:

The racing part of the Tournament will consist of four rounds that take place between 24th and 29th of January. All the races will be arranged and hosted live on our official DeathRoad Discord server, which you can reach through this link.

• Round 1: Group 5 Races

Time: Jan 24th to 26th

The up to 60 players that got placed in the top 20 in either of the maps will get randomized into Racing Tournament Roads of up to 5 players each. The winner in each race will go on to the next round.
Equipment: 1* Car with 1* Gun and 1* Rocket.

• Round 2: Quarter Finals

Time: Jan 28th

The 12 winners get sorted into 4 new Roads. The winner in each race will go on to the next round.
Equipment: 2* Car with 2* Gun and 1* Rocket

• Round 3: Semi Finals

Time: Jan 29th

The 4 winners get sorted into 2 new Roads. The winners will enter the finals for the Championship and Runner up prize, and the defeated will battle it out for the 3rd and the 4th spot.

Equipment: 2* Car with 1* Gun and 1* Rocket.

• Round 4: The Finals

Time: Jan 29th

This is where our racing champion will be crowned!

Equipment: 3* Car with 3* Gun and 3* Rocket.

Note: The map will be a special Real Time Racing Tournament map, not one of the ones on the mainnet.

Rules:

• If there are server side issues in regards to the game, it will be restarted. If issues arise because of your own internet connection, the game will not be restarted.
• Racers will have 5 minutes to join the lobby. Failure to do so will result in a forfeit.
• If the player crashes and ends the game, the screen showing the game ending must be showing until after the race is over.
• Please note that the boosters (fuel, health,..) during the race is random.
• Choose the appropriate car, gun and rocket for each round or you will be disqualified
• The registered account must be used throughout the tournament.

Those who does not participate in the racing tournament can try and predict the winners by doing the following:

The predictions will be counted between Jan 17 and Jan 23, 2022.

The Racing Tournament Prize Pool

The total prize pool for the DeathRoad Real-time Racing Tournament #1 amount is $3000 and will be distributed as follows:

The best Racers:

• 1st place: $800
• 2nd place: $500
• 3rd place: $300

Community prize:

• 4 players with the correct vote: $100 each

The friendly awards: Most-favorited Racer:

• The most voted racer: $200
• The 1st and 2nd runner up: $100 each

Everyone who wins the first Group 5 race gets awarded $50 each.

Offenses and Consequences

All offenses have consequences, including being permanently banned from DeathRoad. In the next app version, every racer will be able to see their penalty status in their settings page. This will be a part of the whole project soon, but due to the intense live-stream environment it will be extra important to make sure all our racers feel safe and are able to perform their best.

Consequences will be issued for:

• Offensive or Vulgar Language
• Hate Speech / Discriminatory Language
• Bullying / Threatening / Harassment
• Sexual Harassment
• Spamming
• Violence / Threats of Violence / Self-Destructive Behavior
• IP Flooding
• Hijacking of DeathRoad Accounts
• Unauthorized Sharing of Private Information
• Exploiting Bugs / Glitches / Hacks
• Smurfing
• Griefing
• Feeding
• Throwing
• Fake Proof
• Impersonation
