I thanked the stars, who killed themselves, who chose to die in honour, than to be slowly and painfully eaten by clouds of darkness that is named pollution, caused by our kind.
The sky was dark, as if our world is suddenly shut down into a comatose, the light no longer there…

Excellent prose, Bell! I really liked the poetry style of this — and totally get where you went with the apocalyptic scenario here. It’s an interesting take, thanking the stars as a member of doomed humanity — because the planet’s just trying to save itself after all!
