Writing prompt #08

The strangers that cross our minds.

They were there for just a breath before they were gone.

They slipped wisdom into your casual small talk that you carry with you still.

You saw them every day online — and while you felt as if you knew them, they didn’t know you (yet.)

Yes, they’re all strangers — but they still found a role to play in your life, however small. And in moments of silence they wick across your mind like tiny, curling flames of memory.

You wonder: who were they? Where are they now? Why did our paths cross so suddenly?

Which brings us to today’s prompt:

Is there a stranger you never met but still think about from time to time? What made you notice them?

It can be someone you spoke to, passed by, or admired from a distance.
