Sustainable Development

In1970 sustainability was employed to describe an economy that is in equilibrium with a basic ecological support system.

The Sustainable Development concept was emphasized by the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED). It was used by the Brundtland Commission also known as World Commission on Environment and Development,1987 report 'Our Common Future. In the report, the commission defined Sustainable Development as 'development that meets the needs of the present generation without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.

Sustainable development means - careful use of the resources and maximum use of non-conventional energy.

Sustainable development needs - meet the needs of today, without compromising the needs of tomorrow. Stabilizing and reducing carbon.
