Himachal,the most visited tourist place of India has immense treasure hidden which are still unexplored.Every year huge number of backpackers visit this place to search for tranquility,to spend some time away from the din and bustle of day to day life,to explore life.Like Kashmir,its natural beauty is beyond imagination.The snowcapped mountains,the meandering rivers,the beautiful greeneries will force you to visit different places of Himachal again and again.
But many of the beautiful spots in Himachal are being conjested due to huge number of tourists visiting every year.Like Simla,Kulu,Manali,Nainital and many more spots are not the ideal places where you can just spend a few days quietly,away from your monotonous life.Those who love serenity,solitude to them you have to explore some awesome offbeat places oh Himachal.
I am mentioning five offbeat spots where you will find yourself.
- Renukaji-If you want to spend few days in peace and solitude then Renukaji is ideal for you.Its main attraction is Renuka Lake which is in the midst of beautiful green and snowcapped mountains.The waters of the lake is so clear like crystal that it seems God prevails there.This lake is the largest lake in Himachal.It is situated in Sirmaur district of Himachal.Its well connected by roadways.This place is 672 m above sea level.A perfect blend of natural beauty and man made marvels,Renukaji is worth to visit.In November a fair is organized for five days with the arrival parasuram,the son of Renuka, where lakhs of pilgrims visit from all over the country.But apart from that this place remains an offbeat place of Himachal.
2)Gada Guashaini-This is a place full of greeneries and small flowing rivers.This is a place where you can spenf for hours alone just listenng to chirping of birds and whirling of the waters.It will soothe your mind.You will feel that you don’t need anyone.The nature is with you.It is welcoming you with both hands.Gada Guashaini is a small village in Banjar Tehsil of Himachal.It is a part of Mandi district.
3)Tirthan Valley-If you want to get lost in the lap of nature,then Tirthan Valley will not make you dissatisfied.The peace that prevails here will make you to be there every year.Surrounded by Great Himalayan National Park this beautiful valley is just beside Tirthan River.Best time to visit Tirthan Valley is in Spring and summer.
4)Barot-Barot is another of the tack tourist place slowly gaining importance.It has some wonderful terraced fields,thick cedar forests and a range of outdoor activities that will engage tourists for whole day.Situated in 1835m,Barot is a beautiful village just on the side of Uhl river.It is also the gateway to Nargu Wildlife Santuary.This place is the home of innumerable faunas like Black Bear,Wild Cats,Monal,Monkeys etc.If you want to trek through Kullu and Kangra Valleys then this place is the base .
5)Prashar Lake-This awesome blue lake is situated near to Mandi and is 2730m above sea level.The depth of this Prashar Lake is unknown so far.People those who want solitudeness visit this place again and again.The whole region including the lake is covered with white carpet of snow in month of January to March.Whereas it becomes full of greeneries in month of July and August.So you can experience the two different beauties of this place.Ofcourse it turs a bit of risk during Monsoon time but at the same time if you want natural beauty you have to take this risk.You can camp near the lake or stay at FRH or PWD guest house.There are lot of overnight Volvos from Delhi to Mandi.Froom Mandi you can avail bus to reach Prashar Lake.
