Another Empty “Bombshell” Russiagate Story

Caitlin,

All of your arguments against public interest in the Russian influence in our election and now, an attempt to call the events around Michael Flynn an “empty bombshell,” overlook a two important truths:

#1) Donald Trump is not trustworthy. He is an habitual liar and deceitful con man with unscrupulous and unethical business practices and has but one concern —enriching himself and apparently, his family.

#2) Whatever happened between him and his “satellites,” surogates, lackeys, cronies and a sovereign state that our country considers adverserial deserves to be and *must* be exhaustively investigated and understood. There are far too many incidents, statements and actions that indicate malfeasance to consider them coincidences. Now, refer to #1.

In my opinion, it is doubtful the majority of Americans hold anything against the Russian people, but feelings towards the Soviet Union are a different story. Vladimir Putin, though popular with the Russian people, to patriotic Americans he represents the old Soviet Union because of his history with the KGB. Perhaps the Russian people are too close to see from our eyes, he is a rabid wolf in a guard dog’s pelt and as such, maintains Russia as an adversary. Get rid of him and any other Soviet vestiges in the Russian government and we will have a different conversation, no doubt.
