The Unsuccessful.

As I look around me, there are those who think they’ve made it, hit the big time. In their thinking, their reality they are right.

Being in the wondrous world of business for the last 6 years coaching and mentoring business owners, and careers climbers I can share with you my findings. The size of your bank account, house or your car engine do not define your success and the size of your ego will destroy any positive progress you may make financially.

To those who are evolved, experienced and emotionally more intelligent. Their reality is like watching car crash TV.

All I can do is watch, as any suggestions that their world is on shaky foundations would not be welcomed and likely fall on deaf ears.

They are blind and ignorant to what’s ahead.

There will be fallout.

They will fall and it will be tough to recover from the tumble, there will be casualties and the aftermath will be an arduous process to clear, as they do not possess the skills and emotional intelligence to. They will need support and to drop the pretence that they have everything handled and they will require revelation to help them transform their thinking and protect their future from further self destruction.

Why are they blind? Why will they fall?

They are control freaks.

They micro manage EVERYTHING. Believing that no one else will or can get the tasks done as good as they can. This is an unsustainable belief.

The solution :

Learn to trust others and accept you can surround yourself with a competent team.

They are always right.

They find it difficult to admit they make mistakes. They fail to admit their short comings. This stifles their learning opportunities.

The solution:

Understand that mistakes help us learn and grow, brushing over them just makes the challenge worse. Admit when you’re wrong. Find the right support to help guide you through.

They don’t pay attention to others.

They enter into conversation with others and are only really interested in what others have to say if it matches with their beliefs. They are always distracted when in a conversation. They only surround themselves with people who will only ever agree with them. They talk about themselves 99% of the time. The word ‘I’ features predominantly in their language and written word.

The solution :

By letting go of stubbornness, self absorption, and arrogance. Understanding others perspectives, the process of making decisions improves and better decisions are made.

They think their ideas are the best.

They are quick to judged others ideas, ‘poo poo’ those around them and dismiss others capabilities. They are inflexible in their thinking, lack compassion, speak limitations and are driven by insecurity. .

The solution :

Drop the act, be humble, serve more, take less and realise, success is more about the person you are willing to become. Someone that serves more than they take, honours others with their humility and doesn’t need to shout loudly to prove their success.
