Then She Wept

On the sixth day, she asked God why.

She asked God many questions. All left unanswered. He remains silent.

The more she tried to understand her situation, the more is felt the pain. Somehow, she’d rather feel the pain than to find a solution to it. The pain made her feel alive, it made her feel like a human being.

Perhaps, the pain comes from the wounds that never healed. Wounds that closed, but never healed. Maybe, these are pains of a past long forgotten. Feelings manifesting themselves once more. Memories trying to escape the back of her mind. Unresolved issues haunting her fragile heart. Pains from the frustration of not knowing, of uncertainty.

On the sixth day, doubt crept into her heart and mind. Then she wept.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
