As a former investment manager who has lived through massive economic shifts resulting from government overspending, I can tell you the world will not return to anything approaching normal after there is some success containing Covid-19. The Congress is now adding $4 trillion + to the existing $23 trillion deficit with its relief programs. This will cause a depression unlike anything this country, and the world has ever experienced. All those marketing attempts at gaslighting us into buying like crazy again will be useless. People will not have money. The stock market is a leading economic indicator. The precipitous fall it recently experienced will occur in equal measure in the overall economy within 4 to 8 months. The relief programs are fine now for the extreme duress we are experiencing, but it is just a matter of postponing the ultimate fall.
