Closed Beta Testnet Game Announcement: We Will Launch with Hearthstone!

While we continue to take applications for our closed Beta testnet, we’ve decided on our first game: Hearthstone!

Why Hearthstone?

Hearthstone, a Blizzard Entertainment game, is enjoyed by over 100M players worldwide.

Notably, the UI in Hearthstone is far more static than our other launch-supported games. This allows for easier integration, and trial of, the virtual referee. This will reduce any possible friction or inaccurate reporting as we test the product. Beyond this, Hearthstone is a game that our team is incredibly familiar and comfortable with which will further streamline the development and support process.

All of our first four games (Hearthstone, Fortnite, PUBG, Dota 2) will be completed before mainnet launch. Hearthstone simply allows us the ability to get something released with a reasonable quality in the fastest time — from there, we test and fine-tune the product in preparation of mainnet launch.

About Hearthstone

For those unfamiliar, Hearthstone is a turn-based, free-to-play, digital collectible card game between two opponents.

Decks consist of 30 cards and a user-selected hero who possesses a unique power. The goal of the strategy game is to destroy your opponent’s hero. Competitors use “mana crystals” to use their abilities or summon minions to attack their opponent.

We’re very excited to roll Hearthstone out in April to our closed beta testers. To learn more about Hearthstone, visit here:
