My Tattoo is Not for You

I am experiencing the same problem. I am from Africa, Namibia and its kinda considered a taboo having a tattoo. Getting a tattoo is like destroying your body in our society. I was in an abusive relationship for 6 years, when I finally got out I had an infinity sign with the words Stay Strong tatooed on my right shoulder. It is only visible when I wear tank tops. People would stop me and ask me “what is the meaning of that””, “ is that a feather?”, “why would you have the words stay strong?” I have decided to stop wearing tank tops although its really hot this side. But I have reached a point where I am tired of being asked questions about MY BODY.
